I read a lot of posts about the painting on the wall. I wish we were that good to just freehand on the wall, but actually we drew them by hand on big sheets of paper- cut it out & traced it on the wall. You can see light pencil lines, that we then painted over. My sister Amy drew the frame, and i drew the coo-coo clock. Then Amy used the leftover overlays and covered it like patchwork. It was cool to see the whole idea come to life :) We decided to add it to the wall the day before the show started. It was missing a little something. (don't worry i took those parts of the walls with me, they were too cool to leave behind so we shipped them home)
I also got to be a part of a fun distress challenge for the Ranger booth, i was super excited to check them all out together. A bunch of different designers each were assigned a different color and a 8" x 8" canvas. My color was dried marigold, so i got to play with the crackle paint, distress ink and embossing powders all in that color... and of course a little hambly. So cool to see how differently everyone distressed theirs.
